So I call him back and he's saying stuff I can't understand... I'm afraid of identity theft - they knew the last digits of my social and my address!!! How did they get that info?

Keeps calling since Friday afternoon and saying nothing ands just listen when asked who is this. Called five times in a short three hour span on Saturday and Sunday fivetimes this afternoon and just listens to the hello. But keeps calling and says nothing.We have had problems with some other tenants and this is something they like to doand give other people the number although I can not prove, they are the kind of people slide under the radar, they think the are good con artists. I received call around 6:00 pm with suspicious caller ID, "Serious Material". I do not have voicemail, so I do not know anything more.

I got a call from this number too they said the samething to me

The caller was a man and identified himself as being a person that deals with consumers. He was asking if I had a credit card debt or about $3,000.00 or more and would like to negotiate a good interest rate. Since the phone number is local and I have caller ID, I asked the man where he was calling from and he mentioned one of the states somewhere in the south. I proceeded and asked to be removed from his list. When I retrieved the phone information from a search engine, I found out that the phone number is a local landline from the City of Campbell, California.

I just got a call and argued with the guy. When I called back it says the number is invalid.

It is a personal cell phone from a collector at Chase Bank. They call from this number first and if you answer they hang up. Then they call back from the collection department line and hope that you answer.
