You obviously don't know the law because if a bill collector calls a borrower at work and they verify they have the right person they can discuss the debt. At the collection agency I work for we call people at work all the time unless its state we cant call at the person's work. Now if we disclose the debt to anyone at that person's work without the borrowers permission that is highly illegal and will get you fired at most collection agencys. I love reading some of these responses because most of you have no idea what you are talking about you just think you do. Got the same text. Seemed fishy, so I googled the number, which lead me here.This number attempted to call me and I have repeatedly tried to call back and when the guy answers he sounds like he is from India or something and hangs up on me when I ask who he is and why he's calling.Repeated calls from YPOR or YPR, several times a day, at all hours, even on weekends. Used to get calls from (440) 331-6633 (Milwaukee), now from (559)272-6410 (Fresno). Usually hang up, sometimes ask if we got our phone book, twice asked for a credit card number to 'complete a purchase'. I never purchased a thing from them. Reported both to FCC as I am on the no call list. I searched online and found that these a-holes are Yellow Pages Opinion Research, calling to see if you do or do not answer your phone. It was suggested that you not answer the calls to demonstrate that you are not a prime candidate to be swindled over the phone.
